Role Overview:

As an HPC Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in installing and integrating software at client sites and deploying our core software stack. Working closely with their Project Management Team, you will ensure timely project delivery within budget and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultancy on HPC software installation, adhering to best practices and vendor requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and agreed-upon risk assessments and method statements.
  • Attend client sites as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments including Sales, Presales, Operations, Project Management, Deployment, and Support.
  • Maintain accessibility via email, telephone, and instant messaging during work hours.
  • Present a professional demeanor while executing assigned tasks.
  • Maintain accurate out-of-office alerts and work calendars.
  • Provide regular progress updates to Operations & Project Management.
  • Adhere to ISO processes.

Personal Specification:

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Strong scripting skills in BASH/Python.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, source code management, networking (TCP/IP), monitoring tools, virtualization, and containerization.
  • Basic Windows administration skills.
