Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join a growing organisation in Halifax, supporting data-driven decision making across all areas of the business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be key in evaluating and interpreting information from multiple sources and presenting clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.The successful candidate will help combine legacy and live data into consistent formats, utilising tools such as SQL, Excel and Power BI to create meaningful reports and visualisations. By providing accurate analysis and metrics, the role will support operational performance, financial planning and strategic initiatives, enabling leaders to identify opportunities and manage risks effectively.Key Responsibilities:
  • Consolidating and interpreting data from multiple systems to provide a single version of the truth.
  • Preparing and presenting key metrics on business performance to directors and business units.
  • Developing financial models and supporting business planning cycles.
  • Producing clear, visual insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams with data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Expanding reporting suites and driving improvements in reporting efficiency.
About You:
  • At least two years’ experience in financial planning and analysis or a similar data-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and statistical programming.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills with excellent presentation ability.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data simply.
