Senior Software Engineer  City of London - 1 Day per week Insurtech / Climate  About the role This organisation creates insurance products that support the transition to a low-carbon economy. The team is small, fast-moving and focused on modernising a traditionally slow sector. They use a flexible, developer-centred policy administration platform and are building services that integrate with partners, data providers and underwriting workflows.What you’ll do

• Build and maintain the systems behind carbon-focused insurance products.
• Own the policy administration platform and its integrations.
• Develop partner and provider integrations.
• Shape technical architecture and data foundations.
• Work closely with product, underwriting and customer teams.

What they’re looking for

• Strong backend engineering experience across multiple technologies.
• Experience in early-stage tech and comfort with rapid iteration.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across climate, tech and insurance.
• Must have Insurtech OR Climate / Carbon background
• Experience with Java
• Interest in climate action and carbon-reduction science.
