Overview:
I'm supporting a leading B2B digital agency in Manchester as they continue to scale their client delivery function. They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex digital programmes, manage senior stakeholders, and ensure the smooth, timely and high-quality delivery of projects for a diverse portfolio of enterprise clients.
This is a critical role within their delivery team, offering autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to shape how major web, platform and digital transformation projects are delivered. You'll be working in a mature Agile environment, collaborating closely with consultants, designers, developers, and senior leadership to drive operational and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of concurrent B2B digital projects, from initial scoping through to launch and post-implementation support.
- Manage client workshops, capture detailed requirements, and ensure clear documentation that supports successful project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring their expectations are managed and exceeded.
- Oversee Agile delivery ceremonies, maintain accurate project plans, and ensure teams remain aligned to timelines, budgets and agreed scope.
- Identify delivery risks and dependencies early, driving proactive mitigation strategies and providing transparent progress reporting.
- Collaborate with technical leads and cross-functional specialists to ensure solutions are delivered to an exceptional standard.
- Support continuous improvement across the delivery function, advocating best practices and contributing to the agency's delivery playbook.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong background delivering digital projects within an agency, consultancy, or fast-paced client-facing environment.
- Proven experience managing medium to large-scale web, eCommerce, or digital platform projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at senior levels.
- Solid understanding of software delivery processes, Agile methodologies, and tools such as Jira, Trello or Similar.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable operating across multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or guiding delivery team members is advantageous.
