The Opportunity:

ISR Recruitment is currently supporting a leading consultancy client who are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment and operation of modern cloud-native platforms across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This is a senior, hands-on engineering position with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, cloud automation, CI/CD and platform engineering.

You will work across multiple cloud environments, helping to build and operate secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure while developing reusable platform capabilities and improving engineering and delivery processes.

Skills and Experience:

As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will take a hands-on role in designing, deploying and operating cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms across a complex multi-cloud environment.

Application Technologies: React.js | Angular.js

You will work extensively with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Flux and GitOps, alongside cloud networking, security, identity, API management, observability and event-driven architectures.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage infrastructure across multiple AWS cloud environments using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Deploy, operate and support cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Work with core cloud services covering security, networking, identity and governance across the three major cloud platforms.
• Design and implement CI/CD solutions using technologies including GitHub Actions and Flux, applying GitOps principles where appropriate.
• Deploy, manage and support Kubernetes clusters, including AWS-hosted Amazon EKS environments.
• Deploy and operate Kubernetes platforms across EKS, AKS and GKE.
• Manage platform components deployed to Kubernetes using Service Mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Use Kustomize and associated Kubernetes configuration-management practices to manage and maintain cluster configurations.
• Securely configure and deploy AWS API Gateway and associated API capabilities.
• Design and implement effective operational monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Design and support cloud networking across AWS, Azure and GCP, including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, load balancing and DNS.
• Deploy and operate event-driven and microservice architectures, including platforms using Apache Kafka.
• Develop automation using Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• Use Git, GitHub and/or GitLab for version control, collaboration and engineering workflows.
• Work with engineering teams to develop reusable platform capabilities and improve deployment, reliability and operational processes.

NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews (5-7 days).
