Product Owner - West Midlands

My client a growing UK technology business specialising in cashless catering, online payments, identity management, and operational software solutions is looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver a new product area within the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware Product Owner or Product Manager who enjoys working in discovery-led environments, solving real customer problems, and helping shape products from an early stage.

The role sits within a growing operational and workflow-focused product area and would suit someone comfortable working across customer discovery, product strategy, roadmap ownership, and delivery collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead customer discovery and help identify meaningful product opportunities
Work closely with customers, users, and internal stakeholders to validate ideas and priorities
Shape product direction, roadmap, and backlog priorities
Translate business and customer needs into clear product outcomes and deliverables
Partner closely with engineering and design teams throughout the product life cycle
Help define MVPs, prioritise features, and balance speed with long-term product value
Monitor customer adoption, engagement, and product success metrics
Contribute to product strategy and continuous product improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within software or SaaS environments
Strong product discovery and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working on digital products, operational software, workflow systems, or B2B platforms
Comfortable working through ambiguity and helping shape product direction
Ability to prioritise effectively and make commercially sound product decisions
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Familiarity with Agile product delivery environments
Comfortable using AI tools and modern product practices

Desirable Experience

SaaS, EdTech, payments, hospitality, catering, workflow, or operational software experience
Experience launching new products or product features
Exposure to customer research, MVP development, or product-market-fit activities
