UAT Test Lead / SAP

UAT Test Lead – SAP S/4HANA (Inside IR35)

This role offers an opportunity to lead User Acceptance Testing for a major SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation. You will ensure the business fully validates that the ERP solution is fit for purpose, aligned to requirements, and supported by engagement across all key functions.

Key Responsibilities

UAT Preparation

• Define UAT success criteria and test coverage.
• Work with business users to develop test scripts, including non-standard processes, integrations, negative testing, and non-functional requirements (security, access, SoD).
• Ensure accurate test data is prepared and loaded.
• Plan the UAT schedule and coordinate business participation.
• Provide briefing and training to testers ahead of execution.
• Communicate the UAT plan to stakeholders and run a readiness review before testing begins.

UAT Execution

• Monitor progress and manage the daily test schedule.
• Re-plan and re-test where defects occur.
• Log all incidents and defects, classify root causes, and liaise with the system integrator for resolution.
• Manage the backlog for current or future releases and assess impact.
• Capture all documentation, results, and approvals.
• Plan and schedule the UAT exit gate.

UAT Reporting

• Track progress and defect burn-down.
• Report on defect resolution and compliance against requirements.
• Identify trends or systemic issues behind recurring defects.

Experience Required

• Strong background in UAT delivery for ERP implementations, ideally SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering, technical, or related discipline.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to work across all levels of the business.

Location

Role based in Guildford, with a minimum of four days per week on site.
