Application Support Analyst

Applications Support Analyst

Applications Support Analyst required to join my client's IT team and take ownership of the support, administration, and continual improvement of a range of business-critical applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an applications-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, working closely with users, managing system access, and driving improvements across key business systems.

The Role

As the Applications Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a portfolio of applications, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and fit for business needs. You will act as a key point of contact for users, providing technical support, administering access permissions, liaising with software vendors, and delivering training where required.

Working across multiple departments, you will help maximise system efficiency while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will administer and support a range of business-critical applications, manage user accounts and role-based access controls, investigate and resolve application-related incidents, and work closely with third-party software providers to address technical issues.

You will create and maintain user documentation, deliver training and guidance to end users, support application upgrades and enhancements, assist with integrations and data management activities, and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve application usage and contribute towards continuous system and process improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants should have previous experience supporting and administering business-critical applications within a complex organisation, alongside a strong understanding of application support and administration. Experience managing user permissions, troubleshooting application issues, and working with external software providers is essential.

You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences. The role requires someone who can effectively manage competing priorities, engage with multiple stakeholders, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience supporting CRM, ERP, HR, Finance, or other enterprise applications would be advantageous, as would knowledge of reporting and analytics platforms. An understanding of application integrations, data governance, auditing, compliance requirements, application lifecycle management, and change control processes would also be beneficial. Experience working within bespoke or highly customised application environments is desirable.

Qualifications

A relevant IT qualification is preferred, although equivalent commercial experience will also be considered.

What's on Offer?

In return, my client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, ongoing professional development opportunities, exposure to business-critical systems and transformation projects, and the chance to work within a collaborative and supportive environment supporting a diverse application landscape.

If you have a strong applications support background and are passionate about delivering outstanding service while driving continual improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
