Information Technology Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of projects within an organization. This position is responsible for coordinating tasks, resources, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Coordinator works closely with project managers, team members, and external partners to facilitate communication, track progress, and address any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in planning and executing project activities according to established timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and maintain detailed records of project schedules, deliverables, and documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute action items to team members.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and relay feedback.
- Track project expenditures and assist with budget management and reporting.
- Identify and help resolve project issues or risks, escalating as necessary to project leadership.
- Ensure adherence to organizational processes, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and project documentation for internal and external audiences.
- Facilitate collaboration and information sharing among cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is an asset.
