Apprentice IT Technician
Role
ITWiser are looking for a keen and ambitious IT apprentice to join the team. The ideal person will be answering client calls and helping to resolve issues with client systems. Training will be provided as well as access to a variety of different systems to learn.
Daily routines will be allocated which include tasks like checking backups and antivirus are up to date. You will learn to use and be required to use a ticketing timesheet system to keep a log of issues. This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to break into IT and Cyber Security, as you will gain experience with a variety of IT systems such as servers, desktops, routers and learning how to secure and support them.
As you progress you will be given more responsibilities and roles within the team to grow your skill set in this growing area of business. You may be required to visit client sites from time to time so should have your own transport and full UK driving license.
Training
- Training will be delivered once a week via day release at Shipley College on a Wednesday.
- This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Information Communication Technician and you will also study Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English, if applicable.
- After your apprenticeship, you may be able to study a course at college or university, such as a Network Engineer Higher Apprenticeship. Alternatively, you can use the skills and experience you have gained to progress further in your career.
