EPIC Beaker Analyst

The Genomics Beaker LIMS Analyst role exists to support the implementation, delivery

and the ongoing operation of the Epic Beaker LIMS, middleware and other systems

within Genomics and encompasses all Genomics laboratories. The LIMS Analyst will have

an EHR background and will have responsibility for configuring, testing, deploying and

supporting pathology workflow based on operational requirements. You will work closely

with operational workstream leads in gathering and eliciting requirements for the

implementation and ongoing management of the Genomics Beaker LIMS.

Key Responsibilities:

· Be a Subject Matter Expert for Genomics IT.

· Support the Genomics IT Team and Workstream Lead (WSL).

· Work with the Genomics Operational teams for the delivery and ongoing management of the Beaker LIMS in Genomics.

· Build strong, trust-based relationships with IT, clinical and operational stakeholders.

· Work collaboratively with other teams and departments in issue resolution.

The organisation provides diagnostics, testing and digital pathology for hospital trusts, GP services and other healthcare providers.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
  • Epic Beaker accreditation

Desirable criteria

  • Epic Beaker Genomics Qualification

  • Ability to resolve problems and make decisions based on complex facts using appropriate analysis, interpretation or comparisons
  • Team player – able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Significant experience of working in hospital-based pathology laboratories
  • Experience of LIMS management
  • Experience of change management in a healthcare environment

Desirable criteria

  • Management of LIMS implementation
  • Experience of working in Genomics laboratories
  • Systems integration
