EPR Benefits and Realisation Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and outcomes-focused EPR Benefits & Realisation Manager to lead the identification, tracking, and delivery of benefits associated with the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation programme.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the investment in digital transformation translates into measurable improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and staff experience. You will work across clinical, operational, and corporate teams to embed a culture of benefits realisation and continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Trust’s benefits realisation strategy for the EPR programme
- Identify, define, and baseline measurable benefits aligned to organisational objectives
- Establish robust benefits tracking, reporting, and governance frameworks
- Work with stakeholders to ensure benefits are embedded into operational processes and ways of working
- Monitor progress against benefits realisation plans and take corrective action where required
- Produce regular reports and dashboards for programme boards and senior leadership
- Support change management and adoption activities to maximise realised benefits
- Ensure alignment with NHS digital transformation priorities and national frameworks
- Facilitate benefits workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in benefits realisation management within large-scale transformation or digital programmes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and measure both quantitative and qualitative benefits
- Experience working with senior stakeholders across clinical and operational environments
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Knowledge of programme governance and reporting frameworks
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable outcomes
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with EPR/EHR implementations within the NHS
- Understanding of NHS performance metrics and improvement frameworks
- Familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
- Project or programme management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP)
- Experience using benefits tracking tools and data visualisation platforms
