Job Purpose
To provide expert functional and/or technical consultancy for the implementation, optimisation, and support of IFS Cloud solutions. The IFS Cloud Consultant works closely with business stakeholders to ensure the system is configured, deployed, and utilised effectively across key business processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. IFS Cloud Implementation & Configuration
- Lead or support the configuration of IFS Cloud modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Maintenance, Service Management, or HR.
- Analyse and translate business requirements into best-practice IFS Cloud workflows and setups.
- Perform system build activities, including data configuration, process modelling, and custom fields/lobby design.
- Support Cloud migration projects, including Apps 9/10 to IFS Cloud transitions.
2. Business Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Conduct workshops with SMEs and process owners to capture functional needs.
- Challenge and refine requirements to align with IFS Cloud capabilities.
- Prepare high-quality functional specifications and configuration documentation.
3. Testing & Validation
- Support SIT, UAT, and regression cycles by creating test scripts, validating functionality, and resolving defects.
- Ensure the delivered solution meets business, security, and compliance standards.
4. Go-Live Support & Hypercare
- Assist with cutover planning, data validation, and go-live readiness activities.
- Provide immediate post-launch support, troubleshooting, and stabilisation.
- Transfer knowledge to superusers and internal teams for long-term success.
5. Continuous Improvement & Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes using standard IFS Cloud functionality.
- Recommend and deliver improvements through configuration changes or new features.
- Monitor new IFS Cloud releases and advise on their applicability and impact.
6. Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Consultants, Integration Specialists, and business analysts.
- Develop training materials or user documentation when required.
- Produce clear technical and functional documentation to support system governance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with IFS Cloud (preferred) or IFS Apps 9/10 with strong Cloud knowledge.
- Demonstrable expertise in one or more IFS functional areas (Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, Projects, Maintenance, etc.).
- Experience delivering ERP implementations, upgrades, or Cloud migration projects.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they map into IFS Cloud.
- Ability to write functional specifications and work with technical teams on integrations/custom objects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead workshops and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a project team.
Desirable Skills
- IFS certifications (Cloud or Apps-specific).
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
- Exposure to APIs, REST integrations, or data migration tools.
- Knowledge of lobbies, reporting tools, or Aurena customisation.
- Experience supporting multi-site or global deployments.

Qualifications
