Role: IFS Cutover Manager

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced IFS Cutover Manager to lead and control all cutover activities for an IFS ERP programme. This role is responsible for ensuring a structured, low-risk transition from legacy systems into IFS, protecting business continuity and ensuring all technical and operational readiness criteria are met ahead of go-live.

You will operate at the heart of the programme, coordinating business, technical, and third-party teams through rehearsals, go-live, and early-life support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end cutover approach, including planning, sequencing, and execution
  • Build and maintain a detailed cutover plan covering activities, dependencies, resources, and timelines
  • Lead cutover rehearsals, mock go-lives, and final cutover execution
  • Coordinate data migration validation and system readiness activities
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate cutover-related risks and issues
  • Act as the central point of coordination and communication during cutover phases
  • Lead post-go-live hypercare and ensure a controlled transition to BAU support

What You’ll Be Accountable For

  • Clear definition of cutover scope, success criteria, and acceptance measures
  • Effective coordination of cross-functional teams during critical cutover windows
  • Rapid decision-making and issue resolution during high-pressure periods
  • Alignment between business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and vendors
  • Capture and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience working as a Cutover Manager on ERP programmes, ideally involving IFS
  • Strong knowledge of data migration, system integrations, and business process dependencies
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex cutover timelines
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication capability
  • Comfortable working under pressure during go-live and hypercare phases
  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar planning tools
  • Experience supporting global or multi-entity ERP deployments

Qualifications
