QA Manager (Counterparty Credit Risk)
My client is seeking a seasoned Counterparty Credit Risk QA Manager to lead all testing activities across CCR initiatives. You’ll define the end‐to‐end test strategy, ensure alignment with enterprise QA governance, uplift existing processes, and manage cross‐functional delivery across technology, risk, and business.
This is a high‐visibility leadership role requiring deep QA expertise, strong CCR domain knowledge, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Define test strategy for all CCR programmes, aligned to enterprise QA standards.
- Lead QA governance, audit alignment, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Build and scale a high‐performing QA function (hiring, coaching, capability uplift).
- Establish KPI frameworks covering test coverage, defect leakage, release quality, and delivery performance.
- Oversee SIT, UAT, regression, and end‐to‐end testing cycles.
- Ensure full traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects.
- Partner with BA, development, and risk teams to ensure robust test coverage.
- Support release planning and coordinate cross‐team testing activities.
- Lead defect triage, quality reviews, and go/no‐go assessments.
- Maintain compliance with audit, governance, and CCR regulatory requirements.
🎓 Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years as a Test Manager in banking or financial services.
- Strong experience in Counterparty Credit Risk or similar risk domains.
- Proven ability to define test strategies for complex, data‐heavy systems.
- Deep understanding of QA governance, audit requirements, and banking SDLC/STLC.
- Hands‐on experience with JIRA, Xray, ALM, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience building QA teams and frameworks from scratch.
- Background in Agile, hybrid Agile, or regulatory programme environments.
- Exposure to automation frameworks (nice to have).

🛡️ Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure QA processes meet audit, model governance, and technology control standards.
- Maintain documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and senior risk committees.
- Align testing with CCR regulatory requirements (IMM, SA‐CCR, back‐testing, stress testing).
- Conduct quality risk assessments and enforce defect severity controls.
🤝 Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary QA contact for CCR delivery across technology, risk, and programme teams.
- Lead defect triage forums and quality reviews.
- Engage senior stakeholders, challenge timelines, and ensure testability of requirements.
