HRIS Platform Director / Workday Programme Director – Greater London (Hybrid)
6-9 Month Contract | Outside IR35 | 3 Days Onsite / 2 Remote
We're supporting a global organisation in the search for an experienced
HRIS Platform Lead / Workday Programme Director
to take ownership of a complex Workday implementation that has stalled and requires decisive leadership to get back on track.
This is a
hands-on, senior delivery role,
ideal for someone who thrives on untangling challenges, stabilising programmes, and driving through to successful adoption.
The Opportunity
You'll take over an existing Workday implementation, assess programme health, and design a clear recovery and delivery plan. Working with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, and the wider business, your focus will be on governance, stabilisation, and ensuring the platform delivers business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the turnaround of a Workday implementation, establishing structure, governance, and clear ownership.
- Build credibility quickly with HR, Technology, and Programme stakeholders.
- Deliver a roadmap for remediation, phased adoption, and optimisation.
- Manage systems integration challenges and partner with SI/third parties as required.
- Drive alignment between business processes and Workday capabilities.
- Act as the bridge between HR leadership and delivery teams, ensuring priorities are clear and achievable.
Required Experience
- Proven track record of leading
Workday implementations or turnarounds
in complex, global organisations. - Senior stakeholder management at exec/board level.
- Strong HRIS/Workday platform knowledge (Core HR essential; additional modules desirable).
- Deep understanding of programme governance, delivery methodologies, and risk management.
- Experience stabilising failed or challenged HR technology programmes.
- Hands-on leadership style, able to cut through complexity and drive momentum.
