Release Manager QA
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Release Manager to join our growing IT ecommerce team at an incredibly exciting time!
We are looking for an experienced automation first QA to ensure all requirements are met before any changes reach our customers. You will need a background in automated and manual testing with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be managing the team testing a release before it is pushed to our production instance. You will support colleagues in their day-to-day roles, along with their transformation from manual to automated QA. Your day to day responsibility will focus around manual and automated testing for in depth feature and regression testing.
Key accountabilities
· Review testing strategies to ensure the most effective test coverage
· Ensure testing process are followed and take action to ensure this
· Follow and document processes to ensure consistent product quality
· Drive continuous improvements through knowledge and process improvements
· Build relationships across the team to understand business priorities
· Keep up to date with current and new technologies that would aid in testing
· Ensure frequently executed tests are repeatable and automated
· Balance business priorities with test coverage to ensure a high-level of release cadence
Skills required
· A passion to help other achieve their best
· Understand Agile/Scrum methodologies
· Excellent organisational and communication skills
· Strong analytical skills to tackle complex issues
· Basic understanding of a modern programming language
· Strong debugging skills
· Understanding of automation frameworks
· Confidence to ensure issue/concerns are understood and actioned
· Understanding of source control (git)
