SDR Manager
We're working with a high-growth, founder-led UK SaaS business operating in the workforce and operations technology space.
The business combines software, automation, AI and smart hardware to help organisations manage onboarding, workforce presence, time & attendance, safety and wider operational workflows, particularly across frontline, deskless and multi-site environments.
The leadership team has a strong track record of building and scaling technology businesses, with previous successful exits. The company is now firmly in scale-up mode, with growing customer demand and a clear need to build a more structured, predictable outbound engine.
The OpportunityThis is a founding SDR Manager hire, focused on bringing outbound activity in-house and building a high-performing SDR function from scratch.
Currently, outbound activity is largely handled via a telesales agency. The next phase is to establish an internal capability, and this role will take ownership of designing, implementing, and scaling that function.
This is very much a player-coach role initially - you'll be expected to lead from the front, executing outbound activity yourself while building the team, processes and infrastructure around you.
You don't need to have built a team from zero before, but you must know what good looks like and be confident implementing it.
Key Responsibilities- Designing and building the SDR / outbound function from the ground up
- Taking ownership of outbound strategy, messaging and targeting
- Being hands-on with prospecting, outreach and pipeline generation in the early stages
- Hiring, onboarding and developing SDRs as the function scales
- Establishing process, cadence, KPIs and performance frameworks
- Working closely with Sales, Marketing and leadership to align on go-to-market approach
- Recommending and implementing the right tools and tech stack (CRM, sequencing, data, etc.)
- Ensuring a consistent, high-quality SDR Sales handoff
- Background in B2B SaaS sales, ideally progressing from SDR/BDR into a leadership role
- Strong understanding of outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
- Confident operating in a hands-on, player-coach capacity
- Clear view on what "good" looks like across messaging, targeting and SDR performance
- Comfortable building structure, process and discipline in a growing environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coach, develop and motivate others
- Commercial mindset with a focus on quality pipeline creation, not just activity
