Performance Data Analyst

Location: Manchester City Centre (Office-based)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: up to £50,000 DOE

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Performance Data Analyst to support and enhance operational performance within a fast-paced claims environment.

This role operates independently from the operational team, providing objective, data-driven insights while working closely with management to identify risks, improve performance, and drive better customer and commercial outcomes.

You will analyse both live and historical data across areas such as telephony, claims performance, and AI-driven triggers, with a focus on identifying inefficiencies, errors, and missed opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear daily performance reports, translating complex data into actionable insights (call handling, claim volumes, abandonment rates, AI opportunities)
  • Produce detailed monthly reports highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor live performance and proactively escalate issues
  • Analyse AI-driven data to identify missed claim opportunities and underperformance
  • Challenge processes constructively using data to influence decision-making
  • Provide independent, objective oversight of performance reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (handling large datasets and reporting)
  • Ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with telephony and operational performance metrics
  • Confident influencing stakeholders using data-led insights
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience in claims, insurance, or contact centre environments
  • Exposure to AI-driven analytics or automated triggers
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI
