Location: Hybrid in London 3 days a week
Contract: rolling 6 month contract (FTC only)
Salary: £75,000-£100,000
Role Purpose
Coordinate and deliver intranet initiatives as part of a wider merger integration programme, ensuring a stable, intuitive, and effective SharePoint based intranet that supports Day 1 readiness and ongoing business operations. The role is accountable for delivery, change, and optimisation of the intranet as a core internal communications and knowledge platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the intranet delivery plan, aligned to programme milestones and business priorities, with clear Day 1 and post Day 1 scope.
- Lead end to end project management of intranet initiatives delivered on SharePoint, including site structure, content migration, integrations, testing, go live, and stabilisation.
- Work closely with Communications, IT, and business stakeholders to capture and prioritise intranet requirements, translating these into deliverable outcomes on the SharePoint platform.
- Coordinate content migration and rationalisation activities, ensuring legacy content is reviewed, cleansed, structured, and migrated in line with agreed information architecture and governance standards.
- Ensure the intranet integrates effectively with key systems and services, and that navigation, search, and personalisation support efficient access to information.
- Support change, communications, and adoption activities, ensuring users understand what is changing and how to use the intranet effectively.
- Maintain delivery governance artefacts including plans, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and status reporting, escalating risks, issues, and decisions as required.
- Support Day 1 readiness activities including user acceptance testing, content freeze management, operational handover, and hyper care planning.
- Support post go live stabilisation and phased enhancement of the intranet, ensuring issues and improvement opportunities are prioritised in line with business needs.
Required Experience
- Proven Project Manager experience delivering intranet or internal communications platforms in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands on experience delivering intranets built on SharePoint, including site architecture, content management, migration, and governance.
- Strong understanding of intranet use cases including internal communications, knowledge sharing, document publishing, and employee self service.
- Experience managing content migration, rationalisation, and go live planning for business critical platforms.
- Experience working closely with Communications, Knowledge, and IT teams to deliver user centred digital platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience operating across technical and non technical audiences.
- Experience coordinating internal teams and third party suppliers across parallel workstreams.
- Experience delivering within merger or acquisition integration programmes desirable but not required.
- Experience within legal, financial, or professional services environments desirable but not required.
- Awareness of information governance, data privacy, and content ownership considerations in an enterprise environment.
- Strong delivery discipline with experience producing and maintaining plans, RAID logs, and senior level reporting.
