We’re hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join a major UK financial services organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation, including the integration of a newly acquired bank.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine hands-on Android development with technical leadership, helping shape modern mobile platforms used by millions of customers.

What you’ll be doing
- Designing and building high-quality Android applications
- Acting as a technical SME within the team
- Driving best practices across code quality, architecture and CI/CD
- Supporting production systems and incident resolution
- Contributing to platform and system-level decisions, not just mobile UI
Tech stack and environment
- Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines
- CI/CD: Modern automated pipelines
- Ways of working: Agile, DevOps
- Exposure to:
- Cloud and backend integrations
- Monitoring, observability and live service support
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin ideally)
- Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns
- Ability to operate as a senior engineer or technical lead
- Experience delivering and supporting production applications
- A mindset focused on ownership, quality and continuous improvement
Nice to have:
- iOS exposure (Swift / SwiftUI)
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
