Program Manager

Programme Manager

Initial 6-12 Month Contract | London (Hybrid) | Potential Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile AI transformation programme focused on enabling AI capabilities for Board and Executive stakeholders.

Having completed extensive exploratory work, the organisation is preparing to launch an innovative AI-powered solution into production in September. The platform is designed to support Board members and senior leadership teams by analysing Board Packs and providing enhanced insight, helping drive more informed decision-making.

This role requires an exceptional stakeholder manager who can operate confidently at Board, Executive Committee, and senior leadership level, whilst maintaining close alignment with Product, Technology, and external partners including Microsoft.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of establishing the governance and delivery framework required to successfully roll out and embed the solution across the organisation. Working closely with the Product Owner, Development teams, Microsoft, and senior business stakeholders, you will create and drive the programme roadmap while ensuring alignment to the broader vision for AI adoption and customer experience transformation.

This is a highly visible role offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape the future use of AI within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a strategic AI programme focused on Board and Executive stakeholder adoption.
  • Develop and maintain the programme roadmap, delivery plan, and governance structure.
  • Establish and manage programme working groups, steering committees, and stakeholder forums.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to understand the long-term vision, requirements, and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Development teams to ensure delivery remains on track and aligned to agreed milestones.
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft and other key delivery partners.
  • Engage and influence Board members, Executive Committee stakeholders, and senior leaders across the organisation.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to drive alignment, decision-making, and programme progress.
  • Provide regular reporting, updates, and presentations to senior leadership audiences.
  • Ensure effective management of programme risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls.
  • Oversee programme budgets, spend management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise business value, AI adoption, and customer experience improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven Programme Management experience delivering complex business and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with Executive Committees, Boards, C-suite executives, and senior leadership teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to operate at the highest levels of an organisation.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, steering committees, and multi-disciplinary working groups.
  • Strong roadmap planning and programme delivery experience.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Technology teams in agile delivery environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme budgets and financials.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on programme execution.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience delivering AI, Data, Digital, or Emerging Technology programmes.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies and delivery teams.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled products and services.
  • Experience within customer experience or business transformation programmes.
  • MSP, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent Programme Management qualifications.

Location

  • London-based hybrid role.
  • Attendance in the London office approximately one day per week would be beneficial, although flexibility can be offered.

Contract

  • Initial 6-12 month contract.
  • Strong possibility of extension and/or conversion to a permanent position.
  • If you're a senior Programme Manager who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and is excited by the opportunity to shape an enterprise AI capability with direct Board-level exposure, we'd love to hear from you.
