Key Requirements:
- Proven experience and specialist knowledge in management of learning platforms in complex organisations including experience of system implementation of a LMS (or similar).
- Expertise in e-learning design and the use of rapid authoring tools.Strong communication and relationship skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Up-to-date knowledge of learning infrastructure and instructional design principles
- Compassionate and inclusive leadership, fostering team collaboration and continuous development.Interviews will be held on 11th September.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- LMS Management and Optimisation: Lead the management and optimisation of the Trust's Learning Management System (LMS) and related digital platforms. Implement new LMS systems and identify future improvements to our learning infrastructure.
- E-learning Design and Innovation: Design, develop, and deliver engaging and innovative e-learning content using various digital formats and platforms. Provide technical expertise and guidance to e-learning developers.
- Driving Digital Innovation: Explore emerging technologies such as AI and advanced e-learning tools to enhance the learning experience and future-proof the Trust's approach to workforce development.
- Compliance and Reporting: Oversee the design of training compliance reports and interpret complex data to provide insights to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, clinical directors, and external partners to support system-wide learning initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Manage the LEARN team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and inclusive leadership.

Person Specification
Education/ qualifications
- Education to post- graduate level (PGDip or MSC) or equivalent experience
- Evidence of completion of training in e-learning design and use of a range of rapid authoring tools
- Qualification in education, training or learning and development
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
- Specialist knowledge and management of learning platforms in complex organisations including experience of system implementation of a LMS (or similar)
- Designing (based on learning needs analysis), planning and implementing e- learning / use of gamification within training
- Evaluating learning outcomes
- Proficient in Totara's functionalities
- Experience of leading and managing a team
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
- Effective communication and relationship skills (written and interpersonal) including the ability to explain, motivate, engage, influence, persuade and challenge at all levels
- Up-to-date knowledge of learning infrastructure (both current and emerging) and the creation of approach to maximise utilisation and user experience
- Understanding of instructional design principles
- Advanced level IT skills, including MS Office
- Knowledge of information system such as ESR
