Head of Engineering up to 150,000 plus shares - Fully Remote with a UK Team - High-growth Startup.

In Product is partnered with a High-Growth Early-stage Startup whose mission is revolutionise the E-learning space. This business is building a platform which will enable students to have full autonomy over their learning, and access for all students to learn from engaging content personalised to their studies.

This Startup has been founded by a highly ambitious team who have a wealth of experience within the E-learning and education space. Their success story both in terms of active users, engagement on the platform and profitability is rare to see at such early stages of business, and their ambitions for their next stages of growth are exciting to say the least.

Their small team is driven to deliver their mission by obsessing over User Experience, focusing on Rapid Delivery to make the changes that their users need quickly and iterate to success.

You will join a small team of Engineers, and work in partnership with the Founder to scale this team in the coming year, in the meantime you will move between hands on engineering, technical decision making, strategic leadership, setting up systems for scale, and building an engineering culture that will withstand high growth.

As a Head of Engineering in this business, you will have the ownership over technical execution and work as a thought partner to the Founder who is driving the Product vision.

We are looking for someone who

Has experience growing Engineering teams, recruiting and building a culture that matches the expectations of top talent, and the business objectives.

Has a core background in MERN stack and AWS whilst being Tech agnostic. You will want to continually learn about new technologies and be comfortable with key frameworks/ libraries like Angular, Node and React.

You will be curious to as AI evolves with AI being at the core of their Product and you must already have experience implementing AI solutions in Product environments.

Need to bring your ideas to the table, free thinking is part of the business culture and is integral in problem solving and bringing new technologies into their Product.

Have previously worked on systems of significant scale and complexity within a Product led business.

You will have experience of modern engineering practices including TDD, CI/CD, and have a good understanding of technical design.
