2nd Line MSP Engineer

Job Title: 2nd Line MSP Engineer
Location: Skelmersdale, West Lancs
Salary: £27,000 - £33,000

Our client, a thriving Managed Service Provider who deliver solutions through IT Support, Infrastructure and Networking support are looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer who will serve as the first point of escalation from the 1st Line engineers and handle more complex incidents and service requests.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Microsoft 365 and applications
• Windows & Mac Operating Systems
• Azure AD & Active Directory
• Networking Protocols - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WAN/LAN
• Virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V & VMware
• Security - Anti-virus, Anti-spam etc
• SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange
• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server

Day-to-day:

• Provide technical support to clients remotely and face-to-face
• Ensure clients are always kept up-to-date
• Escalate unresolved tickets to 3rd Line
• Diagnose & resolve hardware and software issues
• Educate clients on how to use systems
• Provide maintenance through monitoring, administration
• Project delivery support
