Global R2R Process Lead

The Opportunity

A large, complex and highly international organisation is looking to appoint a Global R2R Process Owner to take strategic ownership of the end-to-end Record to Report process across the Group.

This is a senior enterprise-level position, responsible for shaping the global R2R strategy, operating model, governance and continuous improvement agenda across multiple geographies and entities.

The role goes well beyond traditional financial accounting. You'll be responsible for transforming and standardising the global R2R function, driving improvements across financial close, controls, reporting, processes and systems, while leveraging automation, data and emerging technologies to create a more scalable, efficient and digitally enabled finance operation.

Reporting into senior Group Finance leadership, you'll work closely with Finance, Shared Services, Technology, Operations and senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing strategic leadership across the global R2R process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and continuously evolve the global R2R strategy, operating model and governance framework.
• Drive standardisation and harmonisation of R2R processes across multiple geographies and entities.
• Oversee the global financial close process, balancing speed, accuracy, control and quality.
• Establish and maintain Group-wide accounting policies, standards and controls aligned with IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead a multi-year R2R transformation roadmap, aligned with wider finance and business transformation priorities.
• Drive process simplification, standardisation and automation across the global finance function.
• Lead ERP optimisation and the adoption of automation, AI and advanced analytics to improve R2R performance.
• Establish clear KPIs, SLAs and performance measures, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with Shared Services to improve service quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Act as a key escalation point for significant financial reporting, control and process issues.
• Work closely with Technology and Transformation teams on major finance systems and process transformation programmes.
• Influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Technology to adopt global standards and new ways of working.
• Ensure strong balance sheet integrity, financial controls and audit readiness across the Group.
• Provide clear, data-driven insight to senior leadership on R2R performance, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Lead and influence a high-performing global R2R function, embedding accountability, continuous improvement and strong stakeholder management.

About You

We're looking for an experienced finance transformation or process leader with a strong background in global R2R / Record to Report environments.

You'll ideally bring:

• 10+ years' experience within Finance, with significant exposure to global process ownership, finance transformation or shared services.
• Proven experience designing, standardising and implementing end-to-end R2R processes within complex, multi-entity organisations.
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully Qualified
• Strong understanding of financial accounting, IFRS/GAAP, financial controls and reporting.
• A track record of leading significant finance transformation, process re-engineering or ERP implementation programmes.
• Experience operating across multiple countries and within complex, matrix organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior and executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience delivering measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, controls and service quality.
• A strong understanding of how technology, automation and AI can be applied to modernise finance processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
• A strategic but hands-on approach, with the ability to operate effectively at both Group and operational level.
• The ability to manage complexity and ambiguity while remaining focused on outcomes and delivery.
• An accounting qualification would be highly desirable.

You'll have the opportunity to shape how a large international organisation operates its R2R function, with significant exposure to finance transformation, technology, automation, AI, ERP optimisation and global process standardisation.

You'll work across Finance, Technology, Operations and Shared Services, influencing senior stakeholders and helping to build a more scalable, efficient and high-performing global finance function.
