Manger/Senior Manager - Financial Due Diligence - Technology, Media & Telecoms

A leading consulting firm is looking to grow its Financial Due Diligence (FDD) team within its Transaction Services practice, with a specific focus on the Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) sector. This is a high-growth area of the business, and the firm is investing significantly in building out the team across Manager and Senior Manager levels.

The team works across mid-market and large-cap M&A transactions, with a particular focus on the technology sub-sector, where private equity deal activity is especially strong. The firm operates a flexible, national working model, allowing candidates to be based in London or in a regional office while working as part of one national sector team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for M&A transactions involving technology, media and telecoms businesses.
  • Analyse historical and projected financial performance, quality of earnings, working capital, net debt and cash flow trends to identify key value and risk drivers for clients.
  • Take ownership of engagement delivery, managing project timelines, team resourcing and client communication from planning through to final reporting.
  • Draft clear, insight-driven due diligence reports and presentations that translate complex financial analysis into practical deal considerations for corporate and private equity clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity houses, corporate clients and other deal stakeholders (lawyers, lenders, management teams).
  • Contribute to business development activity, including pitches, proposals and thought leadership, to support the team's growth ambitions in the TMT sector.
  • Coach, develop and mentor junior team members, contributing to a growing, high-performing sector team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Transaction Services and TMT sector group, including specialists based in other regions, to deliver a joined-up national sector proposition.
  • For more senior candidates: contribute to the strategic direction of the TMT FDD offering, including client targeting and business development priorities.

About You

  • Significant experience in financial due diligence / transaction services, ideally with exposure to technology, media or telecoms clients (sector specialism is valued but not essential).
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and report-writing skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights.
  • Proven ability to manage engagement delivery, client relationships and junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior client and investor stakeholders.
  • A commercial, growth-oriented mindset, with an interest in contributing to business development.
  • Comfortable working flexibly across a national team structure; based in London or a regional office, with travel as required.

Why Join

  • Join a sector team at a genuine growth stage, with strong investment and a clear multi-year growth strategy.
  • Accelerated career progression, with a clear pathway toward Director and Partner.
  • Flexible, location-agnostic working model within a national sector team.
  • Broad exposure to mid-market and large-cap transactions, with growing private equity coverage.
