Purpose:
The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day activities relating to hardware asset management, including; procurement, asset tracking, auditing and disposal activities, software asset management, including; license tracking, assignment and auditing activities.

Job Summary
This role focuses on administering and managing asset and configuration management systems. The applicant will benefit from previous knowledge of IT asset and software management, maintaining accurate detailed information, and being able to confidently liaise with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
You will
· Demonstrate management in own area of responsibility whilst being aware of the role in relation to others in the IT department and across the territory.
· Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills to produce dashboards & reports for IT Managers, as part of ongoing management of assets within their areas and for budgeting/forecasting purposes
· Demonstrate Customer ‘value’ is at the heart of IT Service Transition delivering Customer required outcomes.
· Establish and maintain contact with people within the organisation and external suppliers
· Proactively report on EOS, EOL software and hardware to respective IT Teams
· Proactively report to Information Security on unauthorised software/hardware
Service Transition Planning & Support:
Administer the following Service Transition practices and adhering to Service Transition policies & processes:
IT Asset Management & Service Configuration Management
· Using Service Desk Plus
o There are over 20k hardware Configuration Items (CIs) in use within the ITSM toolset
o Manage and maintain the life-cycle of all IT Assets, ensuring accurate tracking, ownership, utilisation, retirement of assets, and verifying that all assets are in a known state and location
o Contributing to the knowledge database to ensure effective information sharing
o There are over 150 supported software products within the Service Catalog
· Using ITSM tools for license management:
o Manage, maintain, and assign licenses as required
o Identifying unauthorised copies/installations of software
· Update and administer the Sharepoint Service Catalog
· Reporting skills – Be able to manipulate, understand and interpret data sets
· Presentation Skills – Be able to present data in an organised, logical and understandable manner
SharePoint:
· Administer IT Sharepoint site
You have
· Experience working within IT in an Asset Management capacity
· Experience administering and managing CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to monitor and manage the asset life-cycle of devices, including provisioning, repairing and decommissioning to ensure efficient and effective best use of assets
· Experience in data analysis and manipulation skills, including strong MS Excel
· Knowledge of software licensing
· Knowledge of administrating sharepoint team sites
· Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate appropriately to both technical and non-technical users clearly
· The ability to be tactful and approachable at all times
· An analytical approach to problem solving, identifying gaps in information and devise a means of remedying such gaps
· The skills to be a good team player, work collaboratively and able to interact with all members of the IT department, and have an open and honest personality
· The ability to demonstrate calmness under pressure

· ITIL v4 Foundation
· Knowledge/Experience of using License Manager toolsets
