Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Team Leader to lead our dynamic development team, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of our critical business applications built within the .Net Platform utilising among others the ASP framework.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background well versed in the wider .Net platform and ecosystem with demonstrable success delivering web solutions with ASP tools. The successful candidate will have proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor a small team of talented developers.

You will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Key Responsibilities · Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence. ·

Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for .NET and internal supporting systems applications and frameworks, using industry standard approaches to Code Quality, Security and Optimisation ·

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development plans. ·

Deliver a structure for transparent code reviews by pier assessment focusing on clean, readable, and maintainable code, from specification to build ·

Employ clear and robust unit testing & bug resolution methods, promoting positive accountability for development, using repositories, pipeline and dependency management frameworks to ensure consistent delivery ·

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency, productivity, and software quality. ·

Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope. ·

Provide technical guidance through an established design authority review, empowering the wider team, resolving complex technical challenges and promoting innovative solutions. ·

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly within the Microsoft stack, and recommend their adoption where beneficial.

Experience Skills · Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in .NET development, including ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API. ·

Proven experience in a leadership or team lead role, managing and mentoring a team of developers. ·

Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.

· Extensive experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern reactive frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). ·

Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, and optimization. ·

Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework Core). ·

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). · Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Qualifications · Ideally, a computer science related qualification or suitable experience Desirable Experience · Minimum of 5 years in an IT Service Environment · Managing a Team and providing clear precise updates
