Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst (Operational Technology)
Location: (Oxfordshire) (2 days/week on-site), UK
Duration: 6 months+

Overview
The Cyber Security Analyst will implement, operate, and continuously improve Operational Technology security controls across the Client’s environments. This includes hands-on security engineering, policy and standards development, risk assessments, SOC/SIEM integration, and collaboration with engineering teams and MSPs to ensure OT systems are protected in line with industry frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, CAF, ISO 27001).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain OT security controls (network segmentation, secure remote access, monitoring tools)
- Integrate OT systems into SOC/SIEM, develop detection rules, and triage alerts
- Support OT asset discovery, security assessments, and vulnerability remediation
- Assist with OT incident response (log collection, triage, SOC coordination)
- Collaborate with engineering teams for secure system changes
- Report on OT security maturity, control coverage, and detection capabilities
- Mentor junior team members on OT security practices
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in OT security within critical infrastructure (oil, gas, rail, chemical process industries)
- SIEM/SOC integration for OT
- Implementing OT security strategies, policies, and standards
- Knowledge of OT networks, industrial protocols, and segmentation
- Conducting OT risk assessments, gap analysis, and remediation
Desirable:
- OT asset discovery and monitoring experience
- Regulatory compliance knowledge (e.g., NIS Directive, UK CAF)
- Familiarity with project/service delivery and ITSM controls
