Software Engineer - Generative AI

About the Role:

• We are looking for a Software Engineer - Generative AI to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions, including fine-tuning Vision and Language Models (V/LLMs) and implementing Graph-based RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
• As a key member of our Global Supply Chain GenAI Team, you will drive the technical implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient Generative AI capabilities that enhance decision-making, optimize performance, and ensure responsible AI governance.
• This position plays a pivotal role in leveraging Generative AI technologies to modernize and automate the Global Supply Chain. The successful candidate will deliver innovative, reliable, and secure AI solutions that significantly improve operational efficiency and strategic business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Implementation of GenAI Capabilities

• Analyze, organize, and transform raw data into structured, usable formats.
• Build and maintain data systems, pipelines, and algorithms for advanced analytics and AI.
• Conduct complex data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
• Prepare datasets for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
• Design, prototype, and validate GenAI applications aligned with business objectives.
• Combine data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Rapidly prototype user experiences for validation and testing.
• Implement LLMOps and automate workflows for AI lifecycle management.
• Build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI solutions for enterprise deployment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI/ML models and applications.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives within the GenAI team.

Collaboration:

• Identify and assess opportunities to apply LLMs and AI agents within business processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an iterative, agile development environment.
• Educate business and IT stakeholders on Generative AI capabilities and applications.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure all AI solutions comply with security best practices and AI governance frameworks.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in at least two AI domains such as NLP, NLG, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or GenAI.
• Proven experience with fine-tuning and training LLMs, and developing Graph RAG solutions in production environments.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms - particularly Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Experience with tools and services such as:
• Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, HDInsight, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Functions, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, R, or .NET/C#.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Solid understanding of data models, data mining, analytics, and segmentation techniques.
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data transformation tools.

Desirable / Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience using Azure OpenAI, Google Colab, or other GenAI platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure SQL Server, Data Warehousing, or tools such as Talend.
• Knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD processes in AI product deployment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
