Job description\n \n \nThe purpose of this role is to work on the TSA/Network Protect projects alongside the System Design role and specifically the logical network designs for vendor kit and migrations. This role is expected to need to access secure data so will need to be onshore/UK based. This is a high level role where the individual will be trusted to understand the architecture and make the right decisions within the designs they produce. This is a design role but with a heavy network focus.\n \n \nThe skill involves defining the components and services that make up the technology environment, their connections, interrelationships and operating parameters, which together ensure infrastructure solutions support current and future business needs.\n \n \nActivities may include, but are not limited to:\n \n \n developing detailed infrastructure design specifications and diagrams\n \n ensuring compatibility and integration between different infrastructure components\n \n designing infrastructure for scalability, performance, reliability and security from the outset\n \n ensuring designs adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements and security protocols\n \n collaborating with stakeholders to align infrastructure design with business objectives\n \n maintaining comprehensive documentation of the design process and decisions\n \n integrating cloud services into the infrastructure design.\n \n \n2) Design - DESN (System Design)\n \n \nThe purpose of this role is to work on the TSA/Network Protect projects alongside the Infrastructure Design role and specifically the logical network designs for vendor kit and migrations. This role is expected to need to access secure data so will need to be onshore/UK based. This is a high level role where the individual will be trusted to understand the architecture and make the right decisions within the designs they produce. This is a design role but with a heavy network focus.\n \n \nSystems design activities may include, but are not limited to:\n \n \n using design concepts to develop a systems design and provide the basis for systems construction and verification\n \n designing or selecting system components\n \n designing systems compatible with contemporary computing architectures and selection of components such as cloud computing service models and edge computing\n \n designing cyber-physical systems that integrate computational and physical components\n \n considering human factors and socio-technical aspects when designing systems that involve significant human interaction\n \n developing a complete set of detailed models, properties and/or characteristics described in a form suitable for implementation\n \n adopting and adapting of system design life cycle models based on the context of the work using predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches for system design\n \n adhering to regulatory requirements and organisational standards including security.
