Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Data Administrator to support offshore and onshore network infrastructure within the Oil & Gas industry. The role requires strong Project management skills with networking knowledge, coordination with multiple vendors, and the ability to understand and articulate technical scenarios. The position is primarily onsite in the UK, with offshore (seabed) travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Understand project scope, tasks, and deliverables clearly.
Act as a technical liaison between internal teams and external vendors.
Coordinate with multiple vendors for network-related implementations and troubleshooting.
Analyze and articulate network issues, scenarios, and possible resolutions.
Provide technical oversight without necessarily being hands-on at configuration level.
Ensure compliance with offshore travel documentation and safety requirements.
Support offshore network infrastructure, including seabed systems.
Technical Skills Required
Strong understanding of Networking concepts and architecture.
Hands-on or strong working knowledge of:
Cisco networking technologies
Meraki networking solutions
Network Firewalls
RF (Radio Frequency) offshore communication systems
Satellite communication technologies
VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal)
LEO satellite systems
Starlink connectivity solutions
Understanding of how offshore communication and networking technologies operate in remote environments.
Experience Required
Expertise in Project Management
Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry (mandatory).
Experience managing or supporting offshore network environments.
Ability to manage vendor coordination and stakeholder communication.
Strong problem articulation and troubleshooting skills.
