Network Service Governance Lead
Role Purpose
Provide governance and oversight for all enterprise network services to ensure reliability, security, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. The role establishes the governance framework, performance standards, and vendor management structures that underpin high-performing, secure, and cost-efficient network operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance & Framework
Develop and maintain the Network Service Governance Framework aligned with enterprise IT, architecture, and security policies.
Define network policies, standards, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
Chair service review boards and governance forums to ensure accountability and transparency.
2. Service Performance Management
Monitor and report on service performance, SLA compliance, and incident trends.
Drive continual service improvement initiatives to enhance availability and end-user experience.
Oversee network change, incident, and problem processes to maintain service stability.
3. Vendor & Partner Governance
Govern performance of managed service providers, telecom partners, and hardware vendors.
Lead contract reviews, renewals, and vendor scorecards.
Manage escalations, remediation, and service credits to ensure delivery quality and value.
4. Risk, Compliance & Security
Ensure network compliance with enterprise cybersecurity, data protection, and audit requirements.
Maintain a network risk register and track remediation actions.
Support audit readiness and enforce adherence to internal and external regulatory standards.
5. Financial & Capacity Oversight
Oversee network service budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization programs.
Govern capacity and demand management to align with business growth and digital initiatives.
Enable cost transparency and accountability through governance reporting.
6. Strategic Alignment & Transformation
Align network strategy with enterprise digital transformation goals (Cloud, SD-WAN, Zero Trust).
Partner with Architecture and Security teams to shape technology roadmaps and design standards.
Ensure operational readiness and governance for new network initiatives.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the single point of accountability for network service governance.
Present performance, risk, and improvement outcomes to CIO and IT leadership forums.
Foster collaboration across Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Business IT functions.
