Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Certified Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) responsible for the end - to - end architectural integrity of a Pega CRM platform in a public sector context. The role ensures that the solution is secure, scalable, compliant, and fit for purpose, while aligning closely with citizen outcomes, policy constraints, and enterprise architecture standards.

Working in Tandem with the Pega LBA, enterprise architects, and delivery leadership, the LSA provides design governance, technical assurance, and strategic direction across the Programme-particularly critical in public - sector engagements where auditability, risk reduction, and operational resilience are paramount.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the overall Pega CRM solution architecture, ensuring alignment with public - sector objectives, enterprise standards, and non - functional requirements
  • Define and govern case architecture, application layering, reuse patterns, data models, and integration approaches
  • Lead architectural decisions related to performance, scalability, security, cloud deployment, and resilience
  • Ensure adherence to Pega guardrails and best practices, preventing over - customization and long - term technical debt
  • Provide technical assurance through design reviews, code inspections, and release governance across teams
  • Collaborate closely with the LBA to align business intent with technical feasibility and platform capability
  • Act as the primary escalation and decision authority for complex technical and architectural issues
  • Mentor and oversee SSAs and Technical Leads, building sustainable in - house capability for the customer

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Deep expertise as a Pega Lead System Architect, with certification and hands - on delivery of large Pega CRM/Case Management programmes
  • Strong experience defining enterprise - scale Pega architectures, including application layering, reuse strategy, and extensibility
  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and high - availability architectures for mission - critical systems
  • Solid understanding of public - sector non - functional requirements: security, auditability, data protection, and resilience
  • Experience architecting integration - heavy solutions (APIs, events, Legacy systems) in complex enterprise landscapes
  • Hands - on knowledge of Pega Cloud and deployment models, including Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environments and CI/CD enablement
  • Ability to assess and mitigate performance and scalability risks early in the delivery life cycle
  • Strong governance mindset with experience in technical assurance, design authority, and risk management
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, able to explain complex technical decisions to senior business and IT leaders
  • Experience leading and mentoring multi - team technical delivery, ensuring consistent design quality and standards adherence
