SFDC Field Service Lightning
Here's how you'll contribute:
- Lead requirements workshops with stakeholders, clarify business needs and capture acceptance criteria.
- Analyse requirements and propose pragmatic solutions that prioritise OOTB Salesforce capabilities and minimise custom development.
- Design end-to-end FSL solutions aligned to utility use-cases (work order life cycle, scheduling, asset management etc).
- Implement and configure Salesforce FSL (scheduling, resources, dispatcher console, mobile) and related Salesforce functionality.
- Design and manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems; act as integration specialist.
- Use and advocate CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce deployment best practices.
- Apply current Salesforce security protocols and ensure secure interfaces and data flows.
- Prepare solution documents and present designs to architecture review board; lead technical reviews and risk assessments.
- Lead estimations, solutioning and contribute to proposal responses.
- Mentor and guide development/configuration teams; provide day-to-day technical leadership.
- Maintain awareness of Salesforce product roadmap and new features; propose opportunities to leverage new capabilities.
- Travel to client offices for workshops, go-lives and runbooks as required.
Must-have experience & skills
- Proven hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Field Service (FSL) in enterprise environments.
- Strong technical lead experience: solution design, architecture review, and stakeholder-facing presentations.
- Solid integration experience (REST/SOAP, APIs, Middleware patterns) and practical experience implementing integrations.
- Deep knowledge of native Salesforce capabilities, configuration, data model and automation (Flows, Process Builder understanding, but prefer Flow/Automation).
- Practical experience with Salesforce CI/CD and deployment tooling (SFDX, Git, DevOps pipelines).
- Utility industry experience.
- Experience designing secure interfaces and implementing current security best practices (authentication, authorisation, encryption, data protection).
- Excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and good communication skills.
- Willing and able to travel to client sites as required.
Highly desirable
- Experience with Middleware tools such as Jitterbit.
- Experience with Sitetracker or other fieldwork/asset management systems.
- Salesforce certifications: Field Service Consultant, Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, or Architect certifications.
- Experience with minimal-code strategies and governance to avoid unnecessary custom development.
