Job Purpose and primary objectives:

• Provide senior level technical leadership, mentoring Product Engineers across multiple product teams.
• Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and guide technical implementation approaches to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and Product Managers to translate enterprise wide strategies into actionable roadmaps and product level designs.
• Lead or support the resolution of complex technical issues, risks, and design challenges.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and optimisation across Digital Workplace technologies.
• Ensure solutions are delivered in line with architectural principles, security requirements, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities:

This is a cross functional role to perform below duties

• Windows Devices (Windows 10/11)
• Deploy, configure, and manage Windows 10/11 devices using Microsoft MDT, MECM, Intune, Autopilot, and Active Directory/Azure AD.
• Maintain SOE standards, device compliance, configuration profiles, and application deployments.
• Troubleshoot OS deployment, Autopilot enrolment, policy conflicts, and device configuration issues.

Virtual Devices (AVD & Windows 365)

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) single-session and multi-session environments.
• Provision, monitor, and optimize Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
• Troubleshoot session performance, image issues, and connectivity problems.

Mobile & Specialist Devices

• Deploy, configure, and manage iOS, macOS, and Android devices through Microsoft Intune.
• Manage application deployments, compliance policies, and security configurations for mobile platforms.
• Configure and support AR/VR devices, including Meta Quest for Business, for enterprise use cases.

Key Skills:

Windows Device Management

• Strong experience deploying, configuring, and managing Windows 10/11 using MDT, MECM (SCCM), Intune, and Autopilot.
• Hands-on expertise with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory for device join, authentication, and policy management.
• Proficiency in creating and managing SOE builds, Task Sequences, compliance policies, and configuration profiles.
• Ability to troubleshoot OS deployment issues, Autopilot enrolment failures, GPO/Intune policy conflicts, and application deployment errors.

Virtual Desktop Technology

• Practical experience deploying and administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) both single-session and multi-session environments.
• Familiarity with Windows 365 Cloud PC provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for performance, connectivity, image management, FSLogix, and general session issues.

Mobile & Specialist Device Management

• Experience managing iOS, macOS, and Android devices through Microsoft Intune (enrolment, compliance, app deployment, security).
• Capability to manage and support specialist devices, including AR/VR devices, especially Meta Quest for Business.
• Understanding of mobile device security, compliance frameworks, and Apple/Android enterprise management capabilities.
• General Technical & Professional Skills
• Strong understanding of modern endpoint management principles and cloud-based device governance.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex device configuration, deployment, and policy issues across different platforms.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work proactively, manage priorities, and support change and modernisation initiatives.
