Mandatory Skills: ServiceNow - SaaS

Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow ITOM Event Management solutions using best practices. Captures business needs, develops architecture, integrates with monitoring systems, and acts as a technical SME and thought leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, configuration, and deployment of ServiceNow Event Management, integrating with tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, AppDynamics using SNMP traps, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and MID Server.
  • Develop event rules, alert correlation, deduplication, suppression, and maintain operational intelligence signals.
  • Design and tune service health dashboards including alert console, service health, and impact maps.
  • Ensure CMDB and CSDM model integrity; manage Discovery scheduling and assess potential network impact.
  • Provide technical leadership during complex, multi-tier, multi-tenant implementations focusing on system integration, governance, and platform best practices.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into implementation work packages; create architectural diagrams, technical specs, system docs, and manuals.
  • Troubleshoot production/test issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders-executives, business units, SMEs-to conduct solution assessments, process analysis, and roadmap planning.
  • Provide post-implementation support and proactively optimize event management processes .

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in implementing ServiceNow solutions; specifically in ITOM/Event Management architecture.
  • Proficient in designing event rules, alert correlation, deduplication, and suppression.
  • Skilled in integration via SNMP traps, REST/SOAP, MID Server, webhooks.
  • Strong JavaScript/Glide API experience for custom logic and alert action adjustments.
  • Expertise in CMDB and CSDM, including horizontal and cloud-based Discovery on AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Knowledge of service mapping, ability to create and debug patterns for application services.
  • Sound understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Experience with high-availability, multi-tier architectures.

Preferred :

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Event Management (CIS-EM) is preferred.
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITOM) are advantageous.
