Building on this success, Infor is undertaking one of the most significant investments in the future of its financial product portfolio, by modernizing and rearchitecting its Cloud Financial platform through a comprehensive end-to-end transformation program.

Working closely with Product Management, Architecture, Development, UX, Business Analysis teams, and senior stakeholders, the Senior Finance Solution Architect will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, helping to translate complex finance requirements into cohesive product and technology outcomes.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Provide expert guidance on how finance users work across end-to-end processes and modules, ensuring the future platform delivers intuitive, efficient, and connected user experiences that reflect real-world finance operations.
  • Act as the finance domain expert within the Product Management organization, translating modern finance needs, market insight, and competitive intelligence into clear high-level guidance for product direction.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Architecture, Development, and UX teams to shape product strategy, validate requirements, and influence design decisions across the future finance platform.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments, and emerging finance technologies to identify opportunities, risks, and capability gaps that should influence future product direction.
  • Provide expert guidance across key finance processes and ensure the future platform supports efficient, controlled, and scalable finance operations, including:
  • Advising on the design of controlled, auditable month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, approvals, reporting, and period locking.
  • Advising on governance, approval models, internal controls, segregation of duties, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, traceability, and transparent financial process execution.
  • Shaping requirements for accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support business decision-making.
  • Ensuring the platform supports complex organizational structures, multiple legal entities, currencies, tax requirements, regions, and global finance operating models.
  • Evaluate, test, and help shape the future finance solution to ensure it is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the day-to-day needs of finance professionals.
  • Represent the needs of finance leaders, controllers, accountants, auditors, and CFOs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the solution remains relevant, competitive, intuitive, and aligned with modern finance operating models.
  • Provide an independent finance industry perspective that complements customer, partner, and internal stakeholder feedback, challenging assumptions and proposed approaches using real-world finance experience and knowledge of market-leading solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA etc)
  • Significant experience in senior finance, finance systems, finance transformation, or financial software advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/Accounting Software
  • Practical knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, governance, controls, compliance, audit requirements, and finance operating models.
