Job DescriptionRole – Lead ConsultantTechnology – Workday Accounting centre Location – UKCompensation – Competitive (including bonus)Job Description: The Workday Accounting Center Functional Lead / Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting Workday Accounting Center solutions to enable accurate, scalable, and auditable accounting for operational and non‐Workday source systems.
Your role:
As a Workday Accounting Center professional, you will: Act as the functional SME for Workday Accounting CenterDesign and implement event‐driven accounting frameworksTranslate business events into accounting entries aligned with GAAP/IFRSPartner closely with Accounting, Finance Ops, and Technical Integration teamsSupport close, reconciliation, audit, and compliance outcomesYou will ensure accounting accuracy while enabling automation, scalability, and reduced manual journal entries.
Responsibilities:
- Own functional design for Workday Accounting Center, including: Accounting rules and rule setsAccounting event types and templatesJournal mappings and ledger postingsBalances, reconciliation, and drill‐down reportingTranslate business and operational transactions into accounting logicDesign scalable accounting frameworks supporting high transaction volumesEnsure alignment with corporate accounting policies and compliance standardsConfigure Accounting Center components including: Sources, source keys, and accounting eventsAccounting rules, condition logic, and dimensionsLedger accounts, work tags, and posting configurationsPartner with Integration teams to map inbound data from source systemsEnsure data accuracy, traceability, and auditabilityReview and validate configuration completed by partners or analystsRequired6+ years of experience in implementing Workday Accounting CenterExperience in configuring Workday Accounting Center rules and events Familiarity with Workday Financials data model and worktagsPreferredWorkday Certification in Accounting CenterExperience in integrating upstream operational systems (Billing, CRM, POS, etc.) Knowledge of SOX, audit controls, and compliance frameworks Experience with high‐volume transaction environments PersonalBesides the professional qualifications of the candidates we place great importance in addition to various forms personality profile.
