About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Enterprise Architect for the Consumer, Retail & Logistics (CRL) Vertical. Enterprise Strategic Architecture practice will work on defining and delivering next-generation digital transformation initiatives for leading global organizations worldwide. You will be part of a highly elite global team of passionate technology leaders and Chief Architects who are ahead of the curve in identifying technology trends and disruptors, and applying them to innovate and solve wicked problems.

This is a strategic role, focusing on our strategic clients who are embarking on digital initiatives. You will work closely with the sales and delivery teams to drive solutions for large and complex programs. You will be involved during the presales stage, offering advice on best-fit technologies, products, and platforms, developing future-state enterprise and technical architectures, and providing technology leadership and governance for the delivery of these programs. Only the bold can succeed.

Identify technology big bets, develop solution propositions around them, prototype and proactively take them to market. You will be seen and heard, so your ability to communicate is paramount. You must be ready to network and collaborate with CDOs, as well as digital and business leaders of client organizations, develop viewpoints on industry and digital technology trends influencing enterprises, publish viewpoints for industry consumption, and speak in reputed industry and partner forums.

Professional Skills & Experience

  • More than 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, or consulting engagements.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale digital transformation programs (greater than $10M) with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience serving as Chief Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Digital Architecture Lead for Consumer, Retail, E-commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in cloud transformation leveraging AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid cloud ecosystems.
  • Experience in architecting resilient, scalable, and highly available enterprise platforms using microservices, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Expertise in enterprise integration using APIs, event-driven architectures, streaming platforms, and real-time data ecosystems.
  • Experience integrating leading CRL platforms and partner ecosystems across commerce, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, customer engagement, and analytics.
  • Deep understanding of omnichannel retail business processes, customer journeys, order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment optimization, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience with modern digital commerce ecosystems and connected customer experience platforms.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary architecture teams covering cloud, data, cybersecurity, applications, infrastructure, and business domains.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML-driven use cases including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, personalized customer experiences, intelligent supply chains, and predictive logistics.
  • Strong understanding of SRE, AIOps, observability, automation-first delivery models, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Proven ability to provide architecture governance, technology leadership, mentoring, and coaching to large architect communities.
  • Ability to perform rough-order-of-magnitude estimations, solution costing, and TCO analysis for large transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of CRL industry trends such as digital commerce, connected supply chains, generative AI, intelligent automation, sustainability, and customer-centric operating models.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with CXOs, business leaders, architects, and engineering teams.

Good to Have Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise in one or more CRL domains
  • Should have deep technology expertise in one or more areas such as Digital/Mobility, Customer/User Experience, APIs and Microservices, Search, Content Management, DAM, Commerce, CRM, Order Management, Analytics, Cloud, and SaaS/PaaS platforms, and be able to have deep-dive discussions with SMEs in these areas.
  • Should have zero distance to code and be able to review detailed designs, code, configurations, and data models, and provide specific inputs to architects and developers.
  • Should have a very good understanding of EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and should have applied one or more of these frameworks in practice.
  • Should have a good understanding and exposure to products and platforms relevant to digital transformation.
  • Should have a good understanding of leading open-source technologies, frameworks, and tools in the market.
  • Should be able to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.
