L3 SOC Analyst - Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, KQL, SIEM - £500-£550 per day - Inside IR35 - 3 months - Remote UK

Urgent requirement for two experienced L3 SOC Analysts with strong hands-on Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR experience to join a fast-paced, established Security Operations Centre.
You must be a genuine L3 SOC Analyst capable of hitting the ground running, owning complex security incidents and acting as the senior escalation point for L1/L2 Analysts.

- Own and manage complex L3 security incidents from investigation through to resolution.
- Investigate, analyse and respond to threats using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
- Perform advanced SIEM investigation and threat analysis within Microsoft Sentinel.
- Use KQL to investigate incidents, analyse telemetry and support threat detection.
- Manage incidents throughout the complete threat life cycle.
- Correlate alerts and security events across the Microsoft Security ecosystem.
- Act as the senior/final SOC escalation point for complex Microsoft Security issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to L1/L2 SOC Analysts.
- Work directly with customers during complex and critical security incidents.
- Communicate security incidents, risk and remediation to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work alongside Security Engineers and Specialists to continually improve security operations.
Experience Required:
Ideally, you'll have previous experience working within an MSP or MSSP, supporting multiple customers within a fast-paced SOC environment.
Alternatively, we'll consider candidates from an end-user environment who have worked within a large, mature SOC supporting enterprise-scale or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
You'll be comfortable acting as the final point of escalation, taking ownership of complex incidents, dealing directly with customers and providing guidance to L1/L2 SOC Analysts.
Knowledge of wider network security including Fortinet/Cisco Firewalls, VPNs and vulnerability management would be advantageous but isn't the core requirement.
Contract:
£500-£550 per day - Inside IR35
Initial 3-month contract - potential extension
Fully Remote - UK based
9:00am-5:30pm
1 week in 4 OOH escalation rota - minimal expected call-outs
