About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Mesh Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale data architectures in the Pharma/Biotech domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern data platforms and a strong understanding of Data Mesh principles, metadata management, and semantic modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Data Mesh architectures across enterprise data platforms.
  • Work hands-on with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) and cloud-based data warehousing (Snowflake).
  • Develop and maintain metadata catalogues and ensure robust semantic modelling.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in Pharma/Biotech environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineering and analytics teams.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS (S3, Glue, Athena), Snowflake, Palantir Foundry.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Mesh principles, metadata catalogues, and semantic modelling.
  • Proven experience in the Pharma/Biotech domain.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance regulations in Pharma/Biotech.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of data mesh concepts in large organizations.
