About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Mesh Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale data architectures in the Pharma/Biotech domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern data platforms and a strong understanding of Data Mesh principles, metadata management, and semantic modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Data Mesh architectures across enterprise data platforms.
- Work hands-on with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) and cloud-based data warehousing (Snowflake).
- Develop and maintain metadata catalogues and ensure robust semantic modelling.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in Pharma/Biotech environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineering and analytics teams.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS (S3, Glue, Athena), Snowflake, Palantir Foundry.
- Strong knowledge of Data Mesh principles, metadata catalogues, and semantic modelling.
- Proven experience in the Pharma/Biotech domain.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance regulations in Pharma/Biotech.
- Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of data mesh concepts in large organizations.
