Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager (AI/Development (.NET)) - Remote - UK

This dynamic and exciting organisation requires an experienced Lead/Manager with Agile and AI experience. This role will oversee the shift from unmanaged workflows to structured, Agile practices, drive adoption of AI within the .NET ecosystem, and lead the Git-to-GitHub migration.

Skills/experience

• Proven experience leading software development teams in Agile environments
• Strong background in .NET development, version control, and workflow optimization
• Performance Measurement & Process Improvement (KPI's etc.)
• AI Adoption & Integration
• Workflow & Version Control Optimization
• Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

Desirable:

• Excellent cross-cultural communication and leadership skills for distributed teams
• Ability to manage up effectively with senior leadership
• Experience with ML.NET, ONNX Runtime, Semantic Kernel, and/or RavenDB AI capabilities.
• Exposure to managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones
• Prior success in leading organizational transformation initiatives

Key duties:

• Build a structured, accountable, and high-performing development team.
• Lead Git to GitHub migration with minimal disruption.
• Drive adoption of AI technologies within the .NET ecosystem and integrated database environments.
• Establish and track key development KPIs (cycle time, deployment frequency, CFR, etc.).
• Align team outputs with organizational strategy while managing global collaboration challenges.
