In this hands-on position, you will serve as a central coordination point between trading desks, quant researchers, analysts, and engineering teams. You will manage multiple product backlogs, translate fast-moving commercial priorities into clear delivery plans, and ensure predictable, high-quality execution across several product groups.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in high-paced environments and enjoys enabling fast feedback loops, efficient flow, and commercially impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
-
Own and maintain several JIRA backlogs across pre-trade initiatives.
-
Prioritise, sequence, and clarify demand based on business needs and resource availability.
-
Ensure alignment, transparency, and predictable delivery across multiple product teams.
-
Define and run sprint planning cycles, coordinating delivery sequencing.
-
Protect a continuous delivery rhythm with short cycles and frequent releases.
-
Proactively remove impediments and maintain smooth, efficient workflow.
-
Work closely with traders, analysts, quant researchers, and engineering teams.
-
Gather requirements, communicate progress, and provide clarity on decisions, risks, and priorities.
-
Contribute to strategic product and data roadmaps in areas like data ingestion, storage, and distribution.
-
Champion improvements in workflow, tooling, backlog hygiene, and agile practices.
-
Track and improve key flow metrics (lead time, cycle time, deployment frequency, throughput).
The successful candidate will demonstrate
-
Strong experience in delivery management, agile delivery, or backlog ownership, ideally in a data-centric or trading-related environment.
-
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent backlogs and coordinate delivery across diverse teams.
-
Experience working directly with Front Office stakeholders such as traders, analysts, and quantitative researchers.
-
Understanding of continuous delivery and flow-based principles in high-performing engineering environments.
This role will suit someone that is currently working within a trading environment, ideal commodities or energy trading specifically.
