User Experience Designer
UX Designer (Research + Design | Rebrand + New Mobile Apps)
Manchester (Hybrid)
£50,000 to £55,000 + Private Medical + Bonus
Permanent Position
Most UX roles let you optimise what already exists.
This one lets you help redefine it.
I’m working with a well established digital product business entering a major new phase. A full rebrand, refreshed product identity, and the launch of new mobile apps alongside their core platform.
For the right UX Designer, this isn’t incremental improvement work. It’s a chance to influence how a product looks, feels, and performs as it evolves.
If you’re currently comfortable but quietly craving more ownership, more influence, or a broader UX remit then this is the kind of move that accelerates your growth.
Why this might be worth leaving a good job for
- You’ll shape UX during a rebrand.
- You’ll contribute to brand new mobile experiences, not just iterate web flows
- You’ll own problems end to end, from discovery through to validation
- You’ll work in a product team that values evidence over opinion
- You’ll build a genuinely balanced UX skillset across research and design
This is not a siloed role. You won’t be “the researcher” or “the wireframe person.” You’ll be trusted to understand the problem, speak to users, test assumptions, and design the solution.
You’ll be responsible for both UX research and UX design across web and mobile.
That includes:
- Planning and running user research (interviews, usability testing, discovery work)
- Turning insight into clear product direction.
- Designing journeys, flows, and interfaces grounded in evidence
- Working closely with Product and Engineering from early concept stages
- Validating design decisions using behavioural data, experimentation, and CRO thinking
- Measuring impact post release, not just shipping and moving on
Design decisions here are tested, measured and iterated.
What they’re looking for
- Experience across both UX research and UX design
- Background in eCommerce, loyalty, membership, or other conversion led environments
- Comfort working in fast moving product teams
- Strong analytical mindset and appreciation for CRO
- Confidence owning projects and presenting evidence-based decisions
A portfolio demonstrating how research shaped your design thinking would be helpful.
The environment
- Product led SME with real scope to influence direction
- Rebrand and mobile launch underway, visible change, not theoretical roadmaps
- Collaborative engineering and product culture
- Hybrid working (Manchester city centre)
- Salary £50,000 to £55,000 + private medical + generous holiday + bonus and other benefits
If you’re happy where you are but feel ready for broader ownership, a stronger commercial UX environment, or the opportunity to shape something during a pivotal phase, this could be worth a conversation.
