EPR Change Manager

Job summary

Are you an experienced EPR Change Manager with prior EPR Oracle Millennium implementation experience who understands the clinical, operational and safety implications of introducing digital workflows into live hospital services?

We are looking for experienced change professionals with critical EPR experience, knowledge and skills, who have a passion for improving services and patient care to come and join us in delivering EPR transformation across our organisation.

Working with teams across the organisation, you'll champion positive change, manage risks and challenges, and keep patient outcomes at the heart of everything you do.

Main duties of the job

Lead and deliver change management activities across complex programmes, ensuring new ways of working are successfully implemented and embedded. Working closely with stakeholders, you will assess impacts, develop change and readiness plans, support training and communications, manage risks and issues, and drive engagement to minimise resistance. The role is responsible for monitoring progress, benefits realisation and sustainability, while ensuring patient care and the patient perspective remain central to service and workflow improvements.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Apply a structured change management methodology and lead change management activities with key responsibilities for:

- Planning and organising a broad range of complex activities, including influencing and adjusting plans to align project and operational wider plans and strategies.

- Implementing new ways of working, facilitating collaborative working and capacity planning.

- Development and delivery of relevant impact assessments, plans, processes and materials to enable the change i.e. business readiness assessment, change sustainability plans, new processes, benefits realisation plans and tracking.

- Support the implementation of Change plans and monitor progress of plans against success criteria and maintain alignment to business case as relevant.

Input, and support training requirements e.g. create learning/training plans and materials.

Manage stakeholder engagement and communications in terms of change management, set up advocacy and mobilise change agents or champions as required.

Lead stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives and identify and help to address any resistance.

Core responsibility for ensuring patient care is considered within change management plans/ activity and that the patient perspective as a key driver in continuous improvement.

Responsible for reporting on delivery of Change Workstreams, project change activities and BAU initiatives as required.

Influence and design services relating to patient care and patient/workflows, including administrative and operational workflows which have a direct impact on provision of services.

Act as an effective change agent in the delivery change workstreams and activities.

Will be responsible for risk and issue management related to change activity and outcomes.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding and demonstrable knowledge of benefit management and change role within it.
  • Able to work well under pressure and with complexity and ambiguity and can flex to changes in business focus.
  • Able to define problems and evaluate new concepts and ideas and identify recommendations and solutions.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of assessing the impact of change.

Experience

Essential
  • An experienced EPR Change Manager with prior EPR Oracle Millennium implementation experience who understands the clinical, operational and safety implications of introducing digital workflows into live hospital services.
  • Proven track record of working within major change or transformation programmes to effectively manage and delivery change.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, concepts, methodologies and tools; able to advise on, and utilise a good practice approach to business change.
  • Experience in stakeholder management on complex/sensitive programmes, and able to influence and gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience delivering major change programmes.
  • Relevant change management qualification, and/or equivalent experience.
