We’re looking for a seasoned Systems Engineering professional to lead a talented team working on cutting-edge electronic systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, technical environment and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and allocate work across a team of Systems Engineers, providing both strategic direction and hands-on support.
  • Technical Oversight: Own the development and delivery of engineering solutions across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and compliance standards.
  • Process Improvement: Evolve and enhance systems engineering methods, tools, and capabilities to support current and future programmes.
  • Project Delivery: Lead the design and implementation of system architectures, develop key systems documentation, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams to deliver integrated solutions with modularity and reuse in mind.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present at internal and external reviews, manage customer and supplier interactions, and support bids with accurate technical inputs and risk assessments.
  • Governance: Ensure all outputs meet internal quality standards and security requirements, and actively review and approve technical documentation.

What You Bring:

  • Deep experience applying Systems Engineering practices in complex engineering environments.
  • Strong background in requirements development, system design, integration, and verification.
  • Track record of producing high-quality technical documentation and leading formal reviews.
  • Familiarity with tools like JAMA, and hands-on experience in hardware, firmware, or embedded software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in defence or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.
  • Degree in engineering, science, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance.
