MDM Project Manager

Insight Global is hiring a Master Data Management (MDM) Project Manager to join one of our largest pharmaceutical clients to lead the cross-functional programme that stabilises today’s SAP ECC master data while preparing a new MDM model for S/4HANA for the long term, targeted for 2030. You will coordinate 4–5 matrixed teams, align SMEs in SAP EM and Supply Chain Services, and replace siloed, inconsistent practices with a clear RACI and repeatable routines. Your work will enable integration of a new supply collaboration platform with SAP and internal planning systems, improve SNOP to reduce delays, and set the foundation for touchless planning.

Please note, this is a 6 month contract with strong possibility for extensions and would require you to be on-site on a hybrid basis out of the office in Londo n.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the MDM programme by defining scope, plan, and governance across 4–5 teams, establish and enforce a RACI model.
  • Standardise and simplify by replacing inefficient processes of working with common processes, controls, and data quality routines.
  • Improve master data quality and flows in SAP ECC while shaping the target MDM model for S/4HANA.
  • Unblock integration between the new supply collaboration platform, SAP (current ECC/future S/4), and internal planning system
  • Using the Data Orchestration Tool (DOT) to streamline workflows; leverage AI concepts for self-healing master data.
  • Surface risks early, propose mitigations, and keep leadership informed with clear communications
  • Define short term/medium term/longer term steps aligned to S/4HANA timelines
  • Shift behaviours from siloed to enterprise MDM through influence, education, and consistent PM discipline.

Must Haves:

  • Strong Project Management experience within SAP MDM
  • Proven track record working on both SAP ECC and S/4HANA
  • Experience improving master data with AI such as anomaly detection or self-healing
  • Previous experience leading projects, implementing improvements and help develop future roadmaps
  • Highly proficient using Data Orchestration Tool particularly SAP Data Intelligence and SAP’s Data Orchestration Engine (DOE)
  • Supply Chain experience with strong MDM expertise.
  • Proven project management experience leading complex, multi-team delivery.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and PM tooling discipline.

Plusses:

  • Collaboration with SAP EM and Supply Chain Services SMEs
  • Familiarity with integrating external collaboration platforms and internal planning systems
  • Large pharmaceutical environment experience
